Guest DT Christi Steinbeck

Hi Folks! Christi from Scrapping For Tranquility I was Lucky enough to be April Guest Designer for Miss Kate's Cuttables!  I made her Guest Design Team in 2017 and Was VERY excited to make 2018 again!   I just LOVE her files!

Anyhow, this year I choose to do a layout using the following files, Beach Pail and BallBeach Bum Title and Summer Set.   I have the most adorable 2 year old grandson , Lestat that was playing in his backyard pool last summer. (yes I am a little prejudice!  LOL)  I had some of the most cute pictures I just had to scrap .  I thought these files fit my layout well .  What do you think?

This is the completed layout.  Now you have to agree he is cute???  hahaha.

I used AC Cardstock for all my solids and the Water paper was Paper Studio from Hobby Lobby.

Here is some close up of my paper piecings.  This is the Beach Bum Title and the glasses from the Summer Set.

Beach Pail and Ball Set

And the Flip flops and lotion is from the Summer Set.

I sure hope you enjoyed my layout and my piecing.   Please leave me a comment and let me know what you thought!  I will be happy to comment back!

Bumble Around !

Hi everyone! Georgia here today with my card that I want to share with you all!

But first I want to remind you that Miss Kate Cuttables gives  1 free SVG file away Monday through Friday (with the Friday one up also on Saturday and Sunday so you have lots of time to grab that weekend one !)

I also want to remind you that Miss Kate has a monthly challenge that is always so fun to enter so you can check both out here.

Now on to my creation. I am allergic to bees but have always loved the bumblebee because he should not be able to fly the way he is built! He is a survivor and has proven all those engineers who studied him wrong and does fly! That's my kind of bug!!!!

I used a sweet bumble bee SVG file and printed then cut it out with my Cricut Explore Air. I love how well it cut this cutie out! He is called the Smiling Bee and you can find him here.

I made him into a happy birthday card for my nephew who will become a teenager next month. I used 4 different layers of card stock to create my card fronty.  A Fiskers punch was used to punch out some coordinating hearts and a Spellbinders Die Cut to cut out the arrow. A stamp from Stamp TV along with a glitter pen, a white ink pen and black Memento ink finish it up. Everything is up on pop dots to give more definition and eye appeal. Here's hoping he likes it! (at least I know he will like the cash tucked
I loved this little bee so much that I had to make another card with him last night! This card is called the Impossible Card as it is made from one piece of paper and the middle stands up. This fits into an A7 size envelope and lays flat. When taken out of the envelope it pops up!

Hoping you all have a great end to the month of April. Here in Buffalo we are heading into the 135th day of January! LOL

Left the Nest

Hi there.  It's Kim from Katydid Cards.  Before I share my Miss Kate Cuttable's project with you today, I want to remind you to get your Daily Freebie.

In honor of Mother's Day next month, I decided to make a card intended for an adult to give to her mother.  The Birds on a Branch and Flourish Leaf Set worked perfectly together for the idea I had in mind.

I used the largest and smallest of the trio of birds, cut in three shades of pink.  For the leaves, I used only the outlines to create a grouping cut from the white panel containing the greeting.
I attached the panel with mounting tape and cut another set of leaves to add to the top.  I accented with Flower Jewels.  Here's a closer look at the detail on the birds and the dimension created by lifting the white panel.

Inside the sentiment plays off the mama and baby bird on the front.  I love the sentiment...I found it on the Internet

I'll see you next month with a new challenge and design team project.  I love the card I made last year for Mother's Day and I'm sharing the link should you want to see it.

You Light Up My Life

Hello my crafty friends!!

It's Connie Can Crop here and my day to post with  Miss Kate Cuttables!

But first, did you know that Miss Kate Cuttables gives away a free file every day?
YES, absolutely FREE. So what are you waiting for, head over there and get your free file now!!

Sometimes you have photos of a subject so unique, you just can't figure out what to do with them. That was the case with my son's Saint Report pics from his 2nd Grade year at St. Joseph Catholic School.
I had the perfect paper but what about the diecuts!!

Then I found this file by Miss Kate Cuttables!! It is perfect!

That little light bulb really ties in with the paper so well. And my added stamps make this layout perfect in my opinion!

I can't thank you enough for checking out my project. It means the world to me and I hope you truly enjoyed it. May it inspire you to create something wonderful!   Scrappy Hugs!

Lighthouse Layout

Hello Everyone! I just got back from a fun scrapbook weekend and have lots of layouts to share with you. Here's a layout from Summer 2017 where we visited a lighthouse.

(Click on the image to get a closer look)

I used some of my son's snapchats to document the journey to the top of the lighthouse.

I did not use a title on this layout but did feature a focal point with the cut.
Here is the lighthouse cut I used -
it's called "Lighthouse"

Make sure you check out the Miss Kate Cuttables store
for the freebie of the day and lots of great files.
They're absolutely perfect for your next scrapbook layout!

Stop by my blog and follow along for more projects.
