Zoo Fun

Hello everyone! I'm so happy to be here today to share a fun layout I created with some super cute Miss Kate Cuttables cut files. My favorite thing to do! First though, be sure to grab the free file of the day:

Isn't it cute? Remember, today's free file is only free for today...

So for my project today, I wanted to scrapbook a few photos from my boys' first trip to the zoo, way back in 2004. I used these cut files from Miss Kate:

And here's my scrapbook layout:

Oh my gosh -- I could die from cuteness! From those baby animals, that is -- my boys aren't super cute from day. They were in a crazy, horrible mood. LOL. But that baby tiger and baby hippo are just to die for. And I love the title. Miss Kate's titles are just the best! I used papers from The Wild collection by Reminisce, Tim Holtz Frayed Burlap ink for shading, and foam dots to add dimension.

Easter Peeps

Happy Saturday Miss Kate Cuttables Fans!

Kendra here, from Luv 2 Scrap N' Make Cards, to share a fun Easter package with you!

First off make sure to head over to the Miss Kate Cuttables store to download the Freebie of the Day!

--------------------------

I know Easter was last weekend, but I wanted to share my fun Easter packaging with you!

My sister LOVES peeps!

So I thought instead of just giving her a package of peeps for Easter, it would be more fun to create wrapper to go around the peeps, to dress it up a little and make the package a lot more fun and personable!

I stamped the sentiment on a Nested Bracket cut.

I love the "Peep" cut file which is part of the Easter Candy set.

A look at the packaging as you pull out the peeps:
So fun!!

Digital Summer Layout

Hi Everybody!
Jenny from Crazy About Cricut here, and I'm excited to share another Miss Kate Cuttables project with you!   First, I want to make sure you grab the freebie of the day:

Don't forget to head on over to Miss Kate Cuttables to download it for free TODAY ONLY!

And now, onto my project!  There are so many things you can do with the images and files from Miss Kate Cuttables.  There are actually a few different types you get with each file.  If you've never noticed, once you click on the image of the file, the different types are explained nice and clearly under each image:

YOU WILL RECEIVE IMAGES IN THESE FORMATS:
SVG files (for cutting machines)
JPG files (with white backgrounds)
PNG files (with transparent backgrounds)

The SVG files we all know and love for cutting out on our die cut machines.  The JPG files are such high resolution, they are perfect to print out for the front of a card, pocket style scrapbooking, and home decor.  The PNG files are what I used on my project for today.  Since they have a clear background, they are the perfect embellishment for digital scrapbooking!
Every year for the holidays, I make our entire family calendars.  It's especially appreciated by our extended family that we don't get to see very often.  Here are a couple of the months.  This first page is the one I created for July.  We have so much fun on our summer adventures!

The MKC files used on this page are:

This next page is for the month of June for Father's Day.
The MKC file used on this page are:
*World's Best Dad (Title, arrows, and stars.)

I hope you enjoyed my project!  Digital scrapbooking is so easy to do.  Head on over to my blog if you'd like more info on the scrapbooking program I used.

I'd love to see some of you try some digital crafting and share it on the Miss Kate Cuttables Facebook page HERE, or on my Facebook page HERE.  TFL, and hope everyone has a chance to craft today :)

Easter Card Parade!!

Hello MKC fans!  Britt Bass here from Pink Paper Crowns to share a few cards I made to give to my family this Easter using some of the adorable Miss Kate Cuttables files.
First, I wanted to make sure you HOPPED over to the Miss Kate Cuttables store to grab today's FREEBIE!

 ________________________________
This week there was a LOT of crafting for me - as is always the case around the holidays.  I knew I had several cards to make for yesterday and so, Saturday I sat down with my Cameo and my MKC files and cut like my life depended on it!

I combined lots of different files and sets to create these cards.  I did do some resizing of some of the elements and I added some non-cuttable embellishments - like the jewel noses on these bunny peeps!

Especially on a special card for a special person, sometimes it's nice to include a handwritten sentiment like I did here.  Don't like your handwriting? - use block letters like I did here!

I was excited to have another opportunity to use some of my Peachy Keen Stamps' faces and sentiments on these cards too!  This is a face actually made for use with a skunk image, but I just wiped off the parts of the stamp I didn't need and PRESTO - I had a super cute bunny face!!

Just a few tips on how to cut faster and create more cards in one sitting:
1: Choose ALL of your shapes before you cut anything and size them to whatever you want them to be.  If you do this, you can separate the pieces into color groupings and only cut each color of cardstock once.  (for example: I put the bunny bodies from the second and third card on the same virtual mat and cut them all at the same time).

2: Don't assemble until you have EVERY image cut in its entirety.  If you concentrate on just one task at a time, it will usually take you less time to complete the whole group of tasks.  This is called 'Batch Tasking' and is really helpful when you have to make several things that all have the same basic steps.

3: Choose one size of card and stick to it.  You will make less mistakes while cutting if you are trying to cut and size everything to the same general dimensions.

4: Always HAVE FUN! Don't take holiday crafting too seriously - you're MAKING a gift and most people will appreciate your effort and talent, even if you know something doesn't come out perfect.
