Owl Baby Banner

Hi Everybody!
Jenny from Crazy About Cricut here, and I'm excited to share another Miss Kate Cuttables project
with you!

First, I want to make sure you grab the Freebie of the Day HERE.

Don't forget to head on over to Miss Kate Cuttables to download it for free TODAY ONLY!

And now, onto my project!

Recently a family member needed a banner for a baby shower she was throwing.  When she told me the theme was owls, I knew MKC had a ton of super cute owls to choose from!  I decided on using one from this set:

Here are the rest of the details:

*Silhouette - Bold Marks (comma)
*Core'dinations - solid cardstock

It's always hard getting to see the details in pictures of banners, so here are some closeups!

*I put an owl on a scallop at each end of the banner.
*I added detailing, and dots with a white gel pen.

*All the capital letters in the Alphabet set have a beautiful swirl in them!

*I tied some green and white tulle in between the letters.

I also made some larger owls to hang, or put up on the walls for decoration.

*I put one next to one of the banner scallops to give an idea of the size.

I hope you enjoyed my project!  I'd love to see some of you make this and share it on the Miss Kate Cuttable Facebook page HERE, or on my Facebook page HERE.  Make sure to come back tomorrow to see more amazing inspiration from the design team :)

I Just PLANE Love You.

Hey there crafty people, Britt Bass from Pink Paper Crowns here to share my second January DT post with you!

First of all, I want to make sure you don't miss the freebie of the day, Girl Monster In Love

Girl Monster In Love SVG cutting files valentines day svg cut files free svg cuts cute svg files

I can't wait to see her cut out!!

--------------------------------------

I really love sky-themed things: clouds, suns, moons, things with wings, etc.  I wanted to incorporate that theme into my project this week and I thought the file I used was a perfect starting point.

The Paper Airplane file has three little paper plane files and three different swirls.  I love how this file is designed - all you have to do it use a light, medium, and dark shade of one color to achieve this 3D effect. (TIP: for white-paper planes, use bright white, light grey, and medium grey like I did!)

Funny story - I cut and layered all my little shapes, created my card, and went to stamp the PERFECT sentiment...which I did NOT have.  So, after walking around my craft room for 20 minutes, searching in vain for something that would work, I decided to improvise.  I spelled "PLANE" in sticker letters and then used the words I needed from three different sentiment stamps.  The lesson: don't forget how creative you are (like I l amost did)!

Love this card and want to get started on your own PLANE cute card?  Get the file in the $.50 store: HERE!

Get Well Greetings

Hey everyone!  I'm Megan also known as mADDmartha megan.  So glad to have you all here today for my first post to the MKC blog!  I'm so excited about this team, and I'm learning every day as I come from the world of YouTube not as much from traditional blogging.  Before we get started, don't forget to go snag your Daily Freebie over at the MKC online store!  Today's Freebie is an adorable set of flowers that could be used a million different ways!

Flower Group Freebie

My YouTube name was picked long ago because sometimes I have a short attention span when I'm crafting so I wanted to keep today's project pretty simple.  I've been wanting to send a handmade card to a dear friend who is having some health issues so that was my mission.  I used the adorable Get Well Soon Set... but another set that would work nicely would be the Sorry You're Sick Set.  It's definitely on my "make a card with that" list! :)

Get Well Soon

Sorry You're Sick

Here's my completed card!

I'm loving the tone on tone look of coordinating patterned papers right now so I started with that in mind.  I left the inside blank so I can write some words of encouragement.

One thing I always do is try to "fill up" my mat when I'm arranging in my die cutting software.  That way I can cut multiples.  I was able to make 4 of these cards in no time!  I love having cards on hand... don't you?

I hope I've inspired you to create a card or project with one of these cute sets!  I'd love it if you'd head over to my YouTube Channel!

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to check the blog daily to see what my fabulous friends create!

I'm Green with Envy!"

Hi guys! Today is my first post on the Miss Kate Cuttables blog, and I'm so happy and excited to be sharing my first project with you!
But first, don't forget to go by and pick up the Daily Freebie from Miss Kate Cuttables! Here's what's FREE today!

My sweet sister-in-law recently retired from a long teaching career, and I wanted to send her a "Happy Retirement" card, and also tell her how envious I am of her retirement, using the phrase, "I'm green with envy". I found the perfect little frog at Miss Kate Cuttables to go with the phrase. Isn't he adorable! Click HERE to get your own MKC "Cute Frog"!

Here's the card I made, and it was so easy, and so much fun! If you'd like to know the measurements and supplies used on this card, I'll have them listed on my blog, Cardz TV.
