But first -- be sure to grab today's free file of the day!
Thank you, Miss Kate, for always giving us something fun to look forward to each day. :)
So for today's project, I'm still in "back to school" mode, like everyone. And this year, I'm helping out with our school's PTO, which has been really fun and kept me very busy too. One of the new projects we're doing is a bulletin board in the school's main lobby where we can share information about our upcoming events. And since we're the Wranglers, I decided to use lots of cut files from Miss Kate Cuttables to dress it up in style:
I love it! I used these files from Miss Kate Cuttables:
I started by sizing all of my pieces much larger than usual -- which was totally fun to do! Everything is at least 4" across. I made multiples of everything, plus cut out my letters using the Playbill font.
I then inked all the edges with Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Frayed Burlap and layered and glued everything together.
Then it was time to put the bulletin board together. We cut lots of western-themed papers into 6x6 squares to create the background. Finally, we had fun just putting all pieces together on the board.
So far, everyone has loved the new bulletin board. I'm sure we'll update it as the year goes on. But for now, it looks amazing -- such a fun project!
Thank you for stopping by today. Be sure to visit Miss Kate on Facebook too! And I would love for you to visit me at MightyCrafty -- I have lots of fun projects to share each week. Until next time...
Stay crafty!
Lissa :)
