Jen's Crafty Place with a Pop Up Birthday Card

Jenny from Jen's Crafty Place here to make a quick pop up card with Miss Kate Cuttables. I decided on making a mouse card for someone who loves going to Disney. I love the simple pop up element I used in this card.

Before we get into the instructions on making this card, click HERE to get your daily freebie at Miss Kate Cuttables!!

I used a couple of Miss Kate files: Mouse Uppercase Alphabet and Mouse Balloons. I did a print and cut with the Mouse Balloons and cut out several balloons. I then went to THIS website to make my pop up element. I used a normal A2card base and inserted the pop up element in the center. I then covered the panels of the inside of the card with some yellow mouse paper I took out of a Disney scrapbooking pack.

I added the balloons I cut out to the pop up element and then went back to my Cameo 3 to cut some letters. I used the Mouse Uppercase Alphabet to type out "Happy Birthday". I then added the sentiment to the inside of my card.

I then use some more goodies from my Disney scrapbooking pack and decorated the front of my card and I was done!! Thanks for stopping by!!

Easter Decor

It's my turn to share a fun Easter Decor project. Who's ready for Spring? I AM!

Before we check out my project don't forget to grab the Freebie of the Day from the Miss Kate Cuttables Website.

Here's my Easter Decor Project:

First thing I did was paint my wooden round. I have been wanting to try the buffalo plaid style for a really long time and finally gave it a try! (Search YouTube for tutorials)
Here's a look at my plaid pattern:

I then planned out my wording and the leaf accents...I wanted to keep them simple.
I used just the "Easter" portion from this Easter Title.

I used the only the green leaf layer from this Spring Wreath SVG.

I placed just the elements I wanted to use in my cameo software and placed the Easter on top of the wreath and subtracted the wreath so they would not overlap. I cut this from vinyl, applied it to the sign and used chalk paint and a foam brush to add the green and pink.

Since the background pattern was a bit busy I was not happy with the contrast of the Easter and leaves in the wreath. I first decided to do a solid fine point sharpie around the elements then decided to do a line/dot pattern. It's a bit less forgiving and I like the look.
Here's my work in progress...

I experimented at the top of my sign where I knew my flower and bow would cover up.
I added my flower and ribbons to the top and placed it on a stand. Super happy and love the bright spring colors.

Thanks for stopping by today! Please stop by my blog and follow along!

I thought I'd show you another Valentine card I made for my hubby using one of the cute little files from the store.  I only used part of the file because I really liked the strawberry.  I used this Ant with Strawberry file from the store, which looks like this ~
He's really cute but didn't quite fit my vision :-)  Here's what I did ~

Stop on over to my blog and say hi ~ The Squeaky Scrapper.

I've got three cards to share with you today!

For the first two cards, I used:

 Fancy Easter Egg Set

Here are the cards:

This file actually includes cuts for four wonderful silhouettes.
Each card includes four layers,
although I've only used three layers on my cards.
I really like pale pink on kraft!

I really like pale blue on kraft too!
These cuts are so pretty that I didn't add a thing to them!

For my next project, I used:

The file comes with four layers.
I actually used two of the layers and turned them into a card.

Then I filled several of the holes with various rhinestones.
I also filled a number of the holes with Diamond Stickles.

Here's a closer look at the bling:

Finally, I added a big loopy bow to the top of the card.

Other Materials Used:
American Crafts - Cardstock;
Bling: Crafts - Rhinestones;
