Speaking of, be sure to head over the shop and pick up this beautiful free file of the day -- and check out the Deal of the Day too!
For my first project, I knew I wanted to create something winter-themed. We've had such cold weather this month, and it's had me in the mood to look through our winters past for some fun snow photos to scrapbook. So I created this winter-themed scrapbook layout...
I love how this turned out! I combined two of Miss Kate's awesome cut files:

For the snowflake border, I used my sewing machine to stitch the snowflakes down to hold them exactly where I wanted them and to add extra texture, plus I wanted those snowflakes to pull up from the page and look like they were floating a bit. :)
I also added red glitter glue to the little red heart in the title and punched an extra red heart for the snowflake border. Finally, I added a flair button from the Timber Grove collection by Fancy Pants Designs to finish off the border.
I love these cut files and am so happy I was happy to create a scrapbook layout for our family albums.
Thank you so much for stopping by the Miss Kate Cuttables blog today. I'll be back soon with another project. I love to create scrapbook pages, but I might be creating a card or two sometime. :) You never know...
Be sure to visit Miss Kate on Facebook too. And I would love for you to visit me at MightyCrafty -- I have lots of creative goodness to share each week. Until next time...
Stay crafty,
Lissa :)
