Box Tops Monster Can

Hi, everyone!  Before I show you my project for today, remember to grab your Freebie of the Day!

For my project I decorated a mini garbage can for one of the teachers I support.  Our school collects Box Tops for Education and I thought this was a cute way to help contain the tiny box tops...

I used the face from MKD Hairy Monster file for the mouth and eyes - I just cut the tongue and black part of the mouth and the white, iris and pupil of the eyes.  The eyebrows are from MKD Frankenstein file.

I hope that you enjoyed my project and that you will come back often to see all the projects from our wonderful Design Team!

You've Been Boo'd

Hi everyone!  It's Kim from Katydid Cards.   I was originally scheduled today as a Guest Designer for Miss Kate's Cuttables.  Since then, I became the newest member of their fabulous design team.  So I'll be posting for twice this month.  Great month for that to happen as I love making Halloween cards.

Here's the card I made to share with you today.  Before I do, though, I just want to remind you to pick up your Freebie of the Day at Miss Kate's.

I love all the titles at Miss Kate Cuttables, but I don't do a lot of scrapbooking these days.  That doesn't stop me from using titles; I just turn them into cards.  Such is the case with this Boo Title.  I turned it into a card and it opens from a stationary card base.  A little unexpected and I like how it turned out.

I share all the construction details and additional images on my blog if you'd care to see them.

I created the panel for the inside of the card using the  Happy Halloween title.

If you make a project of your own with a Miss Kate's file, be sure to share it on our Facebook Galleria so we can all ooh and aah over it.    And come at visit the store, Pinterest or Instagram for inspiration and great products.

Fancy Frame Shadowbox

Hello it's Amy & thanks for stopping by the blog today.
Don't forget to grab the Freebie of the Day!

I love creating shadowboxes for newlyweds. It makes a perfect wedding gift.
I have made a bunch of these and usually use a bracket style file. I was in the mood to try something new on this one.

After searching Flourishes/Frames Category on the Miss Kate website I spotted these Fancy Frames.

I used the one on the top left. I usually do not stretch files but in the case I wanted it a bit wider and when I did stretch in the Cameo Designer Edition Software it looked just fine. I did create a shadow of the pattern and also cut the bottom layer in white. Foam tape and foam core under the layers helps add dimension and give the shadow effect. I also added some pearl accents.

Hope you enjoyed my project! Stop by my blog to see more of my crafty projects.
I'll be sharing my October Challenge project on the 11th :)
