Guest Designer Debby Pannell

Happy Friday Crafters,

I have been wanting to share this news with you for months but had to keep it under wraps until today. I was picked to be one of Miss Kate Cuttables Guest Designers for 2016 and I'm extremely excited and honored.

Today I finally get to post this announcement and to share with you the cards I made with a few of the fabulous Miss Kate Cuttables files.

I have been a fan of Miss Kate Cuttables files ever since my husband bought me the Silhouette Cameo for my birthday back in 2013. While searching files in the Silhouette store I fell in love with many of her files and then discovered that you could purchase them directly from their website. I love getting them directly from the MKC website because not only do you get the SVG file for paper piecing but you also get png & jpg's for when you want to print and cut.

The best news is that if you go HERE...you can get a FREE file EVERYDAY!!!!

The first card up was created using the Zipline Adventures file and is one that I've wanted to make for a co-worker's birthday.

Card base is 5-1/2" x 5-1/2"

I then made some birthday cards from the Happy Days file. I have some friends that have some milestone birthdays coming up so I thought this set would be cute to make cards for them.

For this card I used the car from this Happy Days file that looks like a '57 Chevy to me. I used glossy accents for the windows.

For the next card from the Happy Days file I used the retro radio.

I used glossy accents on the radio to make it look shiny like I believe the radios were back then.

For my forth and final card I created a shaped card using a truck from the Monster Truck file.

In my Silhouette software, I took one of the trucks and welded it to the dirt pile. I then copied it, flipped it and moved it over until it was in a position to weld the two pieces together. Cut out the dirt, truck and all the accent pieces and put them on the front of the card base I created.

Here is a screen shot of my Silhouette Studio so you can see what It looked like on the screen when I was done creating the card base.

Here is the inside of the card.

I used the glossy accents on the window.

A big thank you to Miss Kate Cuttables for the opportunity to be a Guest Designer. I had so much fun making these projects.

Be sure to check out Miss Kate Cuttables website to see all the spectacular files and also to get the freebie of the day. Yes she has a free file everyday. What better way to try out her files, but don't say I didn't warn you, once you try them you'll be hooked.

Thanks for stopping by.

Happy Crafting!

Digital Postcard Tutorial

Hi Everybody!
I'm so excited to share another Miss Kate Cuttables project with you!  First I want to make sure you grab the freebie of the day:

Eeeeek, cuteness overload!!
Make sure to grab this adorable little guy for FREE today only!

Now, onto today's project!  Life these days can get so busy, but I really feel it's important to still connect with family as much as we can.  My nephew is really close with my kids, but he has other relatives he has to see on holidays too.  So my kids thought it would be fun to send him a digital postcard for Easter!

Before we see the final project, let's take a look at how you can create one:

Here's how the final project turned out.  I love how they personalized it with a picture of them together. My oldest is behind the camera, she forgot why she wasn't in the picture, lol!

While technology can make it harder to interact sometimes, it can also help stay connected.

I hope you enjoyed my project!  I'd love to see some of you try one of these and share it on the Miss Kate Cuttables Facebook page HERE, or on my Facebook page HERE.  TFL, and hope everyone has a chance to craft today :)

Guest Designer Karin Adamczyk

I am so lucky to have very close scrappy friends -- I call them my Scrappy Sisters. We used to get together much more often, but we still try to scrap together as often as we can.

In my layout, I have included pictures from the last time we got together. They show how silly we get and how much fun we have together. It's amazing how close you get when you scrap together. As we scrap, we talk about our lives, things that make us happy and sad, and everything else. Through this, we get to know each other very well.

The file set I used for this layout is called Scrap Your Heart Out! I used my Cricut Explore Air and Design Space to arrange and cut all the pieces.

I kept the title at the original size, cut the hearts and scissors at 2.5" and the stamp and ribbon at 3".

Thanks so much for stopping by. Please visit my blog at ScrappyDIVAblog.com .

GO TEAM! Soccer Layout

Hi Everyone! I have a GO TEAM! Soccer Layout to share with you today.

Before we get kickin' with the layout make sure you
pick up the Miss Kate Cuttable's Freebie of the day.

This was a fun layout to create. At the end of every soccer season there is a tournament day. All teams play in all age groups. When we went to visit my Great Niece play her game we discovered she was on the red team just like my son.
They both turned around and could not believe they were both Number 5!

For my layout I did print and cut of the Boy Soccer Player and the Girl Soccer Player on my Silhouette Cameo. I added the 5 to the shirts.

For the Title I used the Go Team Go! Soccer Title.
Instead of using the second GO I added their names with the pen tool on my Cameo.
I took one of the banners at the bottom and enlarged to include my journaling.

Thanks for stopping by today and stop by my blog if you'd like to see more of my crafty projects.
